Derry Bros Customs Clearance has joined Women in Business (WIB) Northern Ireland.
WIB is the largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders in the country. Its mission is to equip women with the skills they need to start, and grow, their own business or develop their careers, rising into senior manager and leadership positions.
By positively impacting all its members, WIB aspires to create a new economy, whereby all females in Northern Ireland significantly contribute to the economic success of our society.
Brigid Derry, Managing Director at Derry Bros Customs Clearance said: “We’re delighted to join WIB and to do our bit towards championing women business leaders across Northern Ireland. While at the same time supporting women entrepreneurs of tomorrow, by giving them the confidence to aim high.”
WIB helps its members develop their professional skills, connections and confidence to achieve their ambitions. It also promotes the fact that women are an integral and invaluable part of every business and celebrates women’s professional achievements.
“My message to women in business is simple – yes you can! I’m proud to lead a multi-award winning business here in Northern Ireland. I have had to battle the odds from time to time, but if I can do it, so can you.”
Derry Bros Customs Clearance was established in 2020, and although still in its first full year, has grown quickly to become a medium sized business in its own right, offering a range of custom clearance services to more than 200 customers throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Two years ago Brigid Derry won Business Women of the Year through the Northern Ireland Women’s Awards 2019, having successfully run Derry Bros shipping for more than twenty years.
